(Bob Pagani)
Professional hoaxer Alan Abel has spent a lifetime pulling pranks on the media, like his campaign to clothe naked animals or his character Omar the Beggar. Abel’s antics are preserved in the documentary, now on DVD, Abel Raises Cain.

Great stuff. I'm also happy to say that Abel Raises Cain is now debuting on American television via non-profit Link TV, and can also be watched online at http://www.linktv.org/programs/abel til Nov 30!
Brilliant!
One point - Alan Abel has made a difference in convincing people to be more aware of scams and in teaching the press to check their facts better. That's a major contribution to our society.
I met Alan on the Mike Douglas Show during his SINA days and while old ladies were sending in checks to SINA, I couldn't have been the only one who questioned why the animals he clothed were only in drawings, not pictures.
Of course, giving Gypsy Rose Lee and Jayne Mansfield the SINA morality test was pure genius.
Carry on!

Abel is, was and always will be an inspiration to those who prefer to expose idiocy not by carrying signs and chanting slogans but from destroying the opposition's credibility simply by reducing their argument to its base stupidity.
