It's no secret that politicians try to shape our understanding of major issues by controlling the words we use to debate them. Exhibit A: the Obama Administration's recent attempts to retool the way we talk about environmental policy. Green is out, clean is in. And don't mention "global warming." Chicago Tribune reporter Jim Tankersley explains.

I liked most of this segment, but felt that something had been missed. A dear friend of mine works in the brand new green economy, and he says that "Global Climate Change" is a much more accurate descriptor than "Global Warming". If things really do get as bad as the worst predictions, the gulf stream stops and Europe plunges to the same temperatures as Siberia, hardly "Global Warming" if you ask me.
Being the House Organ for a so called "scientific consensus" is still being a house organ even if nobody can buy shares in said so-called "scientific consensus".
