Freedom of speech is def. an iffy subject. Freedom of speech can help citizens with expression but at the same time hurt citizens. I am still on the fence with the whole wiki leaks. I mean, it can be a great thing for the citizens to know some true things in our government, however, the truth hurts and is America really ready to find it out ?

I think that the way whistle blowers are being treated is unfair that they do not have the same rights as us even though they are u.s. citizens just because the government does not want certain information that really does not reveal any information that could harm the country. i am appalled by the way they are treated

i believe that whistle blowers should have more rights because they reveal information that is necessary for the mass people to know and that they have a separate court shows that the government does not want to be fair to the whistle blowers.

There is danger in letting out any confidential information. I do like the idea of politicians straightening up but a law giving people more free speech in higher government agencies can either be good or bad. This is definitely something that I will definitely have to do research for myself and pay close attention.

I think that people should be able to say what ever they want whenever they want. Thats why we have a freedom of speech amendment.

I have to agree with Mr. Harris and i think that we have the right to freedom of speech and i feel like we should be able to express it even if the government likes it or not.

Freedom of speech is alwayas the correct thing to do in my eyes, whether the government likes for it to be said or even heard every human has a mouth of its own which speaks of ones own thoughts. There is a point to this and understanding, but maybe expanding it would be a good cause or not who knows.

This article is very interesting but controversial at the same time. We as human are granted the right to freedom of speech, but I do however feel as though some people abuse their rights. By expanding the freedom of speech law,it can be accepted as something good or bad. I constantly say this, but their are always people who are going to ruin something good or blow things out of proportion.

I am am 50/50 towards this new bill...im kinda on the fence because expanding freedom of speech in all areas is the right thing to do. We human beings were born with the right to free speech and self expression. Then again, on the other side of things, the government has forbbiden certain people to speak to the public as a means of protection of the people. Some things are never meant to be heard by public ears.

If you actually listen to what he is saying, it makes alot of sense, very logical. The government is sneaky, point blank. They hide stuff but that is why we have our amendments. We are granted the freedom to say whatever we want and whatever we heard, just like wikileaks.

honestly, these podcast this week are boring! but this one will have to do - whistleblowers? i believe that they should be granted free speech rights, just as much as everyone else and be taken seriously.

This guy makes perfect sense. He's got it right. It seems everything is geared toward a criminal mentality these days. Sincere, honest whistleblowers must be listened to and respected not ignored and, not only turned away, but punished.
