No-one has conducted a poll asking the following questions first:
1. Do you currently have health insurance?
2. Is your health insurance provided through a Federal, State, military or public employee union or fund?
3. Would you like an affordable healthcare system?

If the answer to Qu.2 is yes, then the follow up questions should be:
1. What is nationalised healthcare?
2. Do you believe if the needy get health coverage, your health coverage will worsen.

INFORMATION I WOULD LIKE TO SEE COLLECTED:

PARTICIPANTS IN A STUDY WATCH/LISTEN TO A REPORT ON A SINGLE TOPIC covered by NPR reporters, a CNN report Glen Beck, Hannity, Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough, Jon Stewart, NBC, CBS, ABC and one of those C-Span “Washington Journal” segments with dual guests on either side of the issue.

The participants are tested after each individual viewing/listening on the factual content of what is being presented by the above.

The results are sliced and diced by demographics.

Did I miss something? What was the first reason for being against it?

Perhaps the laziest phrase in reporting is "studies show" or "studies have shown". Reporters get away with this anonymous claim a lot and the worst offenders seem to be health beat reporters.

In this god-awful red state I get a lot of political stuff that would amaze an outsider -- polls which ask questions in the form of: (and this is barely an exageration) "if Godzila was to come to life and stomp all over your mother and father -- would you STI LL want health reform? ---- NO? ---- we''ll put you down for being AGAINST health reform ...... etc.

An actuall example asks if I'm OK with trillions of dollars of debt the health reform will cause . and etc.

Your program did not examint these "push polls" and in fact did not even mention them -- they usually go along the lines of: Obama is forcing millions of Americans into poverty and is distroying the Nation through his "Socialist health Care" , forced down the throats of unwilling American citizens -- do you favor this health care bill?

and etc. I thiknl y ou shuld revisit this topic some time and perhaps also discuss the phony news items that Yahoo and the like have on their web-sites -- so called news atems such as polls show most Americans do NOT want health care reform .......................... if it means Godzilla stomping their mother into the dust!
