Bob Garfield's rant about the Bush administration in this morning's program was particularly biased. I do not think he realizes how liberal he comes over even though he has denied bias on the air. If he is going to express such extreme liberal views on the air, they should at least be styled as an op/ed piece. I agree with many of his objections to the Bush era, but he goes over the top and needs to be reigned in by someone with a more balanced and informed understanding of how the government works and doesn't work. That said I usually enjoy the program and think it is valuable.

Am I the only one wondering why listeners' letters and blog comments aren't featured in every weekly program?

Judging from the number of postings on any given week, there's no shortage of noteworthy comments.

Indeed, this week, the postings pulled were the least possible controversial ones imaginable (or those being the least political and/or critical of OTM's narrative overall).

Why are your downloads twice as big as everyone elses? You know if you compress them right (esp w Realplayer) you can make them half the size- 10meg. Your size ensures it's the last download I do, esp. when rushing around.. if I don't have home Internet. Everyone in the world doesn't have 1meg/sec connection, and media has global implications and influence.
