Nazanin’s family moved from Tehran, Iran to Bloomington, MN when she was six years old. Her favorite things about America included the breakfast cereal Fruity Pebbles, the motion picture Spaceballs, and Christmas pageants at her Catholic elementary school. She used to mock her older sister for listening to public radio and now the joke’s on her. She’s a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
