You made some fine points there. I did a search on the matter and found nearly all persons will
have the same opinion with your blog.
I don't know what people are complaining about. Other than Venezuela, the US has the cheapest oil in the Western Hemisphere!
The price of oil only reflects the cost of getting it out of the ground, not how much or little is left. It takes millions of years to make oil. Is it possible for the Earth's crust to contain enough oil to keep us going endlessly, especially with India and China each growing a middle class bigger than the whole US?
Recession is not the time to raise any taxes, but many bridges are ready to fall down because we haven't taxed driving enough to pay for maintenance.
And if we put off drilling offshore, we can be the last country with oil left, when the price goes through the roof.
the koch brothers own refineries, pipelines and oil companies. please fact check your fact checkers. it was pretty easy to check. took me 30 seconds.
The Koch Brothers are certainly part of the fossil fuel industry. The same climate deniers and polluters who want no part of pollution regulation are behind the attacks against President Obama.
The snake oil is to be found in the toxic tailing ponds left behind from the oil and coal extraction and destruction.
Does Executive Order 13547 (Stewardship of the Ocean, Our Coasts, and the Great Lakes) signed by the President who "doesn't control the price of gasoline" and "doesn't control most of the economy" greatly influence much of the economy by unleashing massive regulatory power?
These singular actions may not have direct "control" but don't they have a direct influence on the economy with an army of unelected proxy bureaucrats issuing regulations impacting commerce and prices?
Didn't Dr. Steven Chu say "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe" in 2008 and didn't the President somehow choose him to be Energy Secretary and aren't gas prices heading to those European levels?
If gas was $2.00 a gallon would the President be claiming the credit?
