The price of oil only reflects the cost of getting it out of the ground, not how much or little is left. It takes millions of years to make oil. Is it possible for the Earth's crust to contain enough oil to keep us going endlessly, especially with India and China each growing a middle class bigger than the whole US?

Recession is not the time to raise any taxes, but many bridges are ready to fall down because we haven't taxed driving enough to pay for maintenance.

Didn't Dr. Steven Chu say "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe" in 2008 and didn't the President somehow choose him to be Energy Secretary and aren't gas prices heading to those European levels?

If gas was $2.00 a gallon would the President be claiming the credit?
