Factual Error Not Found On Internet

It would appear that The Wall Street Journal isn’t the only news organization that's struggling with how to revise web content after getting its facts wrong. Reuters recently suffered an embarrassment when, after publicly acknowledging a serious error in a column by David Johnston, they deleted the original URL altogether.
When other news sites and bloggers attempted to link to the offending story, they got something that looked like this:

Reuters has since changed its correction policy; corrections and retractions will now appear on the same page as the original article, and articles will no longer be deleted.
Oh, and the subject of the column? News Corp.
