I wanted to approach this project with only the images provided. I also wanted to use at least 3 of the pictures, while not making it obvious how they are being used. I started by creating a blue iridescence on the black bird by overlaying the butterfly wing. This is very subtle in the finished image, but I feel it is worth it. The overlay of the bird in the hand is less subtle but I fell like it works. The applied lighting helps to punch the shadow, and the mosaic break-up was to pull the image even further from reality.
