In the latest Harper’s, Ken Silverstein writes about going undercover as a representative of Turkmenistan to investigate the murky world of Washington PR firms. Silverstein has been criticized for his tactics, but says concealing his identity was necessary to get the story.

Thanks for the interesting story, the scary glimpse into lobbying firms, and the thoughts on the pitfalls of undercover journalism. I personally take no issue with the use of undercover tactics to explore an industry devoted to twisting and distorting public images. I think OTM should do an undercover piece... perhaps Brooke could put on a wig and get a job at Fox News??
