Perhaps it would be interesting to develop a conceptualization that includes your previous story about the increase supernaturalist-oriented tv programming. Why wouldn't we pay more attention to a fake-candidate who tells the truth - even through satirical comedy - far more than any of the other candidates. Many people are as dis-enchanted by the traditional, organized religion of politics as they are of the organized religions themselves. In The U.S.A., those two inter-course with an unusual intimacy.
Is he running as a Republican? If he was running as a Republican that would be awesome! I wonder if it's too late for me to switch.

I wonder if Colbert is functioning as a de facto "None of the Above" option that is sorely missing in American elections. Maybe the people who say they would vote for him finally have a way to epxress how fed up they are with the Democrats and Republicans
