On The Media

I have listened to your program every Sunday Morning for years and I must say that "5 years of covering Iraq" was by far the best program I have heard. It should be required listening for journalism classes and US history courses too. Thank You.

I have been listening to "On the Media" off and on for the past few years, and always find it fascinating. I am often amazed, disgusted, or intrigued by what I learn from listening, but rarely am I moved to tears as I was during this segment of the show. So many have died during this war, but the stark number of 177 journalists killed in Iraq during the war -- and 154 of them Iraqi -- strikes me as a sad testament to how important and dangerous it is to tell the story of the war. My guess is that many Americans would be surprised to learn how many Iraqi journalists have died trying to tell that story. Thanks, OTM, for helping to tell the story behind the news.
