Isn't it interesting how the mainstream media gives a pass to Moon and his friends in high places (*cough* Poppy Bush *cough*)? Talk about a cancer on the body politic. Could such ostrich-like behavior possibly have anything do to with a bankrupt treasury, a war without end, torture, spying, the gutting of our Constitution, the rich getting fantastically richer while the poor get more systematically screwed than usual, etc.? Oh, that darned "liberal" media!
I have made it a point to take anything said by the Washington Times with a grain of salt. In fact, I do not read anything from the WT. You know, and I know, and everybody knows that the WT is merely a mouthpiece for the 'moonies', whether the editorial admits it or not.

I first heard of Moon in the late ‘60s, from my brother who served a tour in South Korea. My first confrontation with the Moonies was after they came to New Haven and I performed in John Baringer’s play “Inquisition”, based an ex-Moonies’ testimony, at the Exit Theater. Then, we took to the streets exposing their anti-Communist rallies as fronts for Church organizing. Finally, I got to take a local leader on in a phone-in talk show on WYBC only to later find them playing a tape of the program, with my questions and comments edited out, at a table on the Green. Kind of reminds me of a Fox News PR tactic.
If I recall correctly, at about the same time as the Washington Times first came out, the Moonies had gobbled up all of D.C.’s television production facilities. I trust that they don’t own the Newseum.
That George H. W. Bush should be shilling for Moon is really no surprise. As the son was so inelegantly quoted by Letterman’s “Great Moments in Presidential Speeches” just last night, “Money trumps…peace.” Power trumps everything else with that family no matter how pious they try to appear.
That early 07 Bush quote only shows how stale Letterman's pathetic sense of humor is. I bet he's still doing Clinton is a fat womanizer jokes. You might be interested in the context of Bush's comments, feel free to look it up. For the rest, I find your opinions mildly entertaining.
