The Barack Obama campaign's winning web strategy employed the latest in social networking to create a highly efficient update of old-fashioned politicking. Marshall Ganz designed the field-organizer and volunteer training systems that turned Obama's campaign volunteers into organizational leaders.

The use of personal narratives, devoid of the fact checking and grounding in reality that was required of the candidates is an appalling double standard that should have been questioned in this segment.

This type of data mining is the same technology that democrats in congress and President Obama in particular objected to using identify national security threats hiding among the American public. Why didn't OTM recognize this hypocrisy and question Professor Ganz about it?

Another quick question. Before doing another story about a university faculty member working for a democrat campaign please name for me the republican political operative that is subsidized to the same extent by American Higher Education System as Professor Ganz.

Gee, Matt from Arlington, VA, I'm thinking Henry Kissinger and George Schulz!

Right on, Ms. Wiggins!

I remember Marshall Ganz well. I worked with him on a California's 1976 United Farm Workers ballot proposition. Nice to see Marshall Ganz is still alive and kicking. God bless you Marshall Ganz!

Chris,

When was the last time that Henry Kissinger and George Schulz formulated campaign strategy from their academic position as opposed to did some advising on the side. Professor Ganz's academic work is democrat campaign work and vice versa.
