Love your show, and the online audio. But 40 seconds of pre-roll is 20 seconds too much. Please tell let your online and underwriting teams know. Thanks, and keep up the great work

One of the reasons I listen to On the Media is to get a glimpse behind the usual perspectives of the mainstream press. Because of this, I was taken aback by the dismissive attitude, by both host and guest, regarding the number-one-voted issue on Change.gov being marijuana law reform.

Would Bob Garfield and Evan Ratliff have immediately scoffed had any other issue--say school prayer or gay marriage--been voted number one? The vast majority of Americans are online and had the opportunity to make their voices heard. Those who did should be taken seriously.

At a time when the US prison population is at an all-time high, with over a million of our fellow citizens incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses, I expect more from NPR in shedding light on this human suffering. I think it would be quite enlightening for your listeners for On the Media to devote a future segment to media coverage (or non-coverage) of this major issue.
