Exceptional interview. I have always understood the Internet as a collection of independent nodes that was trending away from the distributed, de-centralized design of its progenitor AARPANet. Shirky gives an excellent and very digestible explication of how we, as individuals, can reclaim ourselves as such in the Internet.
