When Vladimir Nabokov died he left explicit instructions to burn his unfinished novel. But The Original of Laura will be published this month. Slate's Ron Rosenbaum, a huge Nabokov fan (and perhaps one of the reasons why the book will be published), says he's conflicted about whether publishing is the right decision.

No mention over the very recent publication of Jung's "Red Book?"

"The Salmon of Doubt" was published after the sudden death of author Douglas Adams. As I understand from

the preface, his widow and his agent did an "autopsy"

of his computer's hard drive--unfinished projects and works

in progress, and yet I thought the book was very good.
