NPR’s Culture Clash

National Public Radio is rejiggering its approach to cultural programming. The added focus on pop culture and applying bona fide news standards to high culture has some listeners fearing a dumbing-down at the low end of the dial. Others just want to know what’s happening to their classical or jazz music. Bob sorts it out with NPR Senior Programming Vice President Jay Kernis.
