Transcript

This week, News Corp executive James Murdoch went before British parliament for a second round of questioning about the phone hacking scandal that has engulfed the Murdoch media empire. Brooke talks to Alan Rusbridger, editor of the Guardian newspaper, which first broke news of the scandal. He fills us in about how the story has metastasized since it first hit the press last summer.

So are American investigative reporters digging into Murdoch's nefarious activities through his mafia organizations (e.g., Fox) on this side of the pond? Is OTM? I doubt it.

Hello,
I am very happy to even write to you, or honestly, any NPR show. Programs like "On The Media" draw me in like nothing else. My garage is not heated; but, even in winter I spend hours outside just to listen to my NPR.
So I love and appreciate you, on to the subject at hand. I just heard a story on InfoLink on 91.7, my most local Michigan Public Radio station in Battle Creek, MI:.
Whenever I would have found that a website used the mode of advertisement that you attribute to InfoLink. If inside an article is an underlined link, I take mental note of the address and avoid the entire sight, as much as possible. Prior to the surfacing of this marketing technique, smartly camouflaged as simple links I had come to appreciate. Due to Wikipedia, the sight which I first discovered a proliferation of highlighted and underlined links, I thought these would be only an explanatory page for the highlighted subject/topic/person, instead I am inundated with offers I don't want on something I probably only clicked because I had no idea what it was.
Sincerely,
Trenton McLain

Thank you, thank you, I thought I was the only one familiar with the word pedifile. If he had been a person on the street that would have been the first word used. Not molestor of children. Also, yep, just like the vatican, denial, denial. You made a 40 minute treadmill work out into a meaninful 1 hr. Thank you for all your wonderful reporting.
