Calling for Back Up

Friday, March 07, 2014

Despite the seizure of their office and most of their files and equipment by masked gunmen, the journalists at the Crimean Center for Investigative Journalism were prepared: over the weekend they had backed up their entire web history through the Archive-It service from the Internet ArchiveDavid E. Kaplan, executive director of the Global Investigative Journalism Network and one of the coordinators of the effort, tells Bob just how they managed to pull it off. You can check out what they've saved here and here.

Thats all well and good, but I would really like to see and hear the point that these people who went in to take over the offices have, for there is always more than meets the eye going on, for we ourselves in the west go in and invade and put off the air news outlets, (if we do not like what they say, or it's not from our point of view) and to be truly independent we must strive to always give 'and listen to the other point of view, they may have had good reason's for taking over the offices as they see it, and we have not heard them and so I'm afraid this is a made up point and slanted in my view.
